We began with our Visiting Teaching Conference. Amy Bunker spoke to us about having an open heart which is enlarged, soft, open and warm and to have that open heart idea in regards to the sisters that we visit. She encouraged us to read A Heart Like His written by Virgina Pearce. Lola Dalton then imparted to us her wisdom about how to preserve a marriage. She encouraged us to be good cooks, to always compliment your spouse and be ready to greet him at the door when he comes home from work. To keep yourself in shape and presentable, to be honest with your spouse and to have a good friend that you can share your feelings with.
Our last class was by Shauna Gibson and Jan Herriott. We had lots of fun watching Shauna make Cherry Banana Smoothies, and Cherry Syrup. Jan quizzed us on our canning procedures and a few of us were suprsised that we are still living after we realized our canning mistakes. oops!
What a great night. We are so grateful for the sisters attendance and for their participation. We love you all and look forward to our next Enrichment night in October!
