Spotlight on Janet Sanderson

Janet Marie Sanderson was born in Ely, Nevada, but grew up in Fallon, Nevada. She married Robert Walter Sanderson in 1967. They had 5 children, two died as infants from Highland membrane disease. They raised 3 daughters, Lisa, Brandi and Kacy. The family moved to Bigfork in 1985. They owned the Junction Bar located at the intersection of Highway 209 and 83.
In 1998, Janet suffered a brain aneurism. She was in a coma for 6 months. The Doctor put a shunt in her brain and she came out of the coma. It has been a great recovery for her. Janet believes the Lord blessed her with the stroke so that she would be able to get out of the bar business. She is happy she had it for that reason. Janet loves to do crafts, camping and fishing. She was pictured on the front page of the Missoulian and also the Sports page this last week. She caught a 12 lb. Mackinaw in Flathead Lake. Great picture! Janet loves her dogs, turkey as favorite food, the color blue and Christmas! Her favorite season is autumn. Janet didn't realize how much she missed by working most of her life. The scenery here is so beautiful, she can now take the time to look and enjoy. Janet is such a great example because of her perseverance, helpfulness and happiness.
