Emily Neilson was born in Twenty-Nine Palms, CA on August 29, 1982. Her father was a career Marine. She has two sisters and three brothers. Emily was home schooled from the 8th grade up. She attended Rick’s college where she met Baden Neilson when she was a freshman majoring in Interior Design. They met at Swing Club, where Baden was an instructor. They were married in August of 2001. After Baden graduated from Rick’s College, they moved to Logan to attend Utah State University. Emily changed her major to Landscape Horticulture while attending USU. They lived in Logan for three years, then Alaska for three years and now are lucky enough to live in Bigfork very close to Baden’s parents (Mark and Renee Neilson) and Baden’s sister (Amy Bunker). Emily and Baden have three boys: Parker is five, Wyatt is four and Troy is two.
Emily says that she wants to take swing and ballroom dancing lessons with Baden someday. She loves doing “yard work” so much that she worked on the grounds crew at Rick’s College and USU and loved every minute of it. She wants to learn how to play the piano and guitar. Emily loves fishing, berry picking, reading, and rubber band gunfights with her family. She loves working with Baden. She dreams of having a huge greenhouse to grow whatever she wants. Emily also enjoys studying the histories of civilizations.
